Isabelle Guyon

Talk: Can AI help with reproducible science?

Isabelle Guyon is a Director and Research Scientist at Google DeepMind in Paris, and was previously Professor at Université Paris-Saclay. She specializes in data-centric AI, statistical data analysis, pattern recognition, and machine learning, with expertise spanning computer vision, bioinformatics, and power systems. Her recent interests include meta-learning, causal discovery, AI fairness and safety, and generative AI. Isabelle previously organized the NeurIPS 2025 Social on Peer Review and AI.

Vlasta Sikimić

Talk: Is Faster Science Better Science? Virtuous Use of AI in Research

Vlasta Sikimić is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy of Science and a member of the Philosophy & Ethics Group at Eindhoven University of Technology. Her research focuses on the social epistemology of science and the philosophy of AI in science and education, in particular how to improve learning in science and education in group and hybrid (human and machine) settings.

Joydeep Biswas

Talk: The AAAI 2026 AI reviewer experiment

Joydeep Biswas is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin, and Associate Director of Texas Robotics. He leads the Autonomous Mobile Robotics Laboratory (AMRL), where he directs research focused on perception and planning for long-term autonomy in open-world settings. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award, the Amazon Research Award, and the JP Morgan Faculty Research Award, and serves as a Trustee of the RoboCup Federation and a Councilor of AAAI. He was an Associate Program Chair for AAAI-26 and led its AI-assisted peer review pilot, and is AI-Assisted Peer Review Experiment Co-Chair for NeurIPS 2026.

Jack Stilgoe

University College London

Jack Stilgoe is a Professor of Science and Technology Policy at University College London, where he researches responsible innovation and the governance of emerging technologies. A Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute and a leader of the UKRI Responsible AI UK programme, he co-authored the framework for responsible innovation now used by UK research councils to shape how research is funded and governed, and is the author of Who’s Driving Innovation? (2020).

Autumn Toney-Wails (moderator)

UNU-MERIT, Maastricht University

Autumn Toney-Wails researches NLP, meta-science, and responsible AI. Her work focuses on scientific misinformation, trust and uncertainty in large language models, and the analysis of language and knowledge production across scientific and policy domains. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Florida, a Master of Science in Data Science from George Washington University, and a PhD in Computer Science from Georgetown University. Autumn also organized the ICLR Social on AI for Meta-Science.
